GosAnAngelo.com reports that students at Ballet San Angelo will for the first time be performing their own work in concert.

The article notes "This is the first time Ballet San Angelo students have directed themselves in a show like this, said Sara Beth Terral, marketing director for the ballet.

Many of the pieces are inspired by poems or music. A video introducing each of the student directors will play before their respective pieces during the show, telling the audience about the inspirations.

"The pieces all have depth and a lot of emotions," Terral said. "It's about need and the joy in finding the creative movement. Some of the pieces are joyful and some are more sad.

"The pieces are a means of artistic expression and are very personal to the choreographer.""
