HAMILTON, ONTARIO - ole artists were well represented during last weekend's JUNO Awards. Jeremy Stover co-wrote the title track on Country Album of the Year Lifted by Dallas Smith. Other ole writers that received nominations were Ian Thornley and his band Big Wreck for Ghost for Rock Album of the Year and the late Haydain Neale of jacksoul for "Got to Have It" for R&B/Soul Record of the Year.

Legendary rock band and ole songwriters Rush was honored with the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards. The award recognizes their extensive history of fighting for causes close to their hearts, including their 2003 performance at SARSfest, their support of music-education charity Little Kids Rock, their 2008 donation of $100,000 to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and their policy of donating $1 from every live ticket sale to a variety of worthwhile organizations. In addition, their longtime manager Ray Danniels, the CEO/President of SRO Management and Anthem Entertainment Group, was presented with the 2015 Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award, which recognizes individuals who have made an impact on the Canadian music industry.

"Congratulations to Big Wreck and Jacksoul for their recognition by the JUNO Awards. I'm particularly proud to see ole writers from very different genres associated with Canada's highest award for musical achievement," said Robert Ott, Chairman and CEO of ole. "In that regard, it's also been an honor to welcome Rush to the ole family this past year, and we congratulate them on their Allan Waters Humanitarian Award. It is richly deserved, as Rush's talent is matched only by their generosity. Ray is truly one of our great music men and one of the architects of Canadian music history."
