Next up in the ongoing 2015 MASTODON Vinyl Reissue Series is the band's massively revered 2011 release The Hunter (produced by Mike Elizondo) - their fifth studio album and third release on Reprise Records. The Hunter, pressed on 140-gram red-colored vinyl, is released today, August 28th.

In its four-star review of The Hunter, Rolling Stone declared that the album "demonstrates how contemporary radio rock can still be made with imagination, precision and a majestic sense of force."

As with every Mastodon album, the cover art is an important component to help convey the tone and mood on the music within. No exception, THE HUNTER features the work of contemporary American folk artist A.J. Fosik, uniting the arresting visuals with an equally complex and compelling sonic landscape.
