Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is pleased to welcome back The Second City for Let Them Eat Chaos, the company's sixth visiting production to appear at Woolly. Once again, the famed Chicago troupe will be skewering American culture to subversive and hilarious effect at Woolly from July 7 to August 2.

Following sell-out runs of previous Woolly shows including Barack Stars, Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies, and America All Better!!, The Second City returns this summer with its latest uproarious offering, a blast of irreverent sketch comedy and razor-sharp satire.

"Woolly Mammoth is thrilled to welcome Chicago's legendary Second City back to our theatre for the sixth time," says Woolly Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz. "Their track record for side-splitting, up-to-the-moment comedy is unmatched, and a visit to Woolly always brings out their most provocative zingers. Let Them Eat Chaos-created especially for Washington, DC-combines the best of The Second City's recent material plus brand-new sketches and improvs reflecting the zaniness of the world we live in, from the chaos of national and world politics, to the conundrums of contemporary lifestyles, virtual reality, workplace nightmares, dating, and more. If chaos rules your life, take a laugh break with The Second City."

As a special bonus for improv fans, Friday performances on July 24 and July 31 will be 50% More Chaos nights. These shows will include a freshly improvised 3rd act, adding around 30 minutes to the total runtime. Additionally, The Second City will offer improv classes at Woolly throughout the run, taught by the cast of Let Them Eat Chaos: Improv for Beginners on July 15-17, and Improv for Actors on July 22-24. To register for the classes, visit our website (http://www.woollymammoth.net/improv-classes).

Single tickets are currently on sale, and can be purchased through Woolly's ticketing website (ticketing.woollymammoth.net), or by calling our box office.
