The Stranger calls TRIPLE THREAT w/ KIMBALL ALLEN a, "brand-new thing, an entertainment-packed variety talk show." Seattle based entertainer, Kimball Allen, hosts the recurring 90-minute showcase in downtown Seattle.

"Triple Threat is a talent show with actual talent" declares Seattle Gay Scene. This show will not disappoint featuring musical guest Daniel Blue from Motopony, radio personality Marco Collins, comedian Scott Losse and childhood exploits from Salon of Shame.

Daniel Blue is the front man of Seattle-based hard-soul/glitch-folk band Motopony. His solo project has traded revered danceable tune delivery for seated, core-splitting collaborations with other songwriters including Meagan Grandall of Lemolo, Allen Stone, Jon Russell of The Head and the Heart, Mary Lambert, Kris Orlowski, Hannalee, and Ravenna Woods. Blue's solo work reflects the current musical era of Seattle's soulful folk scene.

Marco Collins is one of the last great rock radio DJ's. He championed little known bands, often being the one to break them into the mainstream such as Beck, Weezer, The Presidents of the United States of America, Foo Fighters, Garbage and Harvey Danger. He recently starred in a documentary called "The Glamour and The Squalor" made about his life, which documents the 90's Seattle music scene, his struggles with addiction and his involvement with Referendum 74 (marriage equality legislation in Washington state). The film premiered at The Seattle International Film Festival in 2015.

Comedian Scott Losse has performed at Bridgetown Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, Sketchfest Seattle, Bumbershoot and Seattle's Music & Arts Festival. Losse was the winner of the 2013 NW Comedy Competition and a semifinalist in the 2014 Seattle International Comedy Competition.

The Salon of Shame is a cult favorite at Theatre Off Jackson having been featured on NBC's Today Show, The Seattle Times and The Wall Street Journal. Seattleites stand and read from their worst adolescent writings, including middle school diaries, high school poetry, unsent letters, etc. The Salon is cathartic for readers and hilarious for listeners. One of the readers includes Salon of Shame Co-Producer and NPR Managing Editor, Phyllis Fletcher. She will be reading enamored excerpts from her teenage diary.

The historic Triple Door combines world-class entertainment complimented by the award winning food of Wild Ginger. The Triple Door is a venue that redefines the live performance experience and radiates urban cool with plush half-moon booths, colorful cocktails and state of the art sound.

TRIPLE THREAT W/ KIMBALL ALLEN runs Friday, August 28, 8 p.m. (doors open & dinner service begins at 6:30 p.m.) at The Triple Door, 216 Union Street, Seattle, WA. For show info visit TripleThreatVarietyShow.com and for tickets visit TheTripleDoor.net or call 206.838.4333.
