Some tickets remain to see first-hand why Paula Poundstone is one of the most popular and respected comedians of our time. The star of NPR's hit radio show "Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me", Paula's trademark razor-sharp wit and impeccable comedic timing make her show at The Ridgefield Playhouse one not-to-miss on Friday, September 27, at 8 p.m.

She interacts spontaneously with her audience, delivering lines with such candor and comedic value that everybody laughs out loud. Paula is the star of several one-person shows on HBO and Bravo and was the first woman to win an ACE Award (the Cable Emmy Award), for Best Standup Comedy Performance, and the first woman to be invited to perform at the distinguishEd White House Correspondents' dinner, which the President of the United States attends. Her latest book is There's Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say.

To make this a memorable night out, Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine or draft beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. This event is part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series and is underwritten by FormFitting Fitness, Brookfield, CT, promoting female power and a lighthearted approach to life; media sponsor is WSHU 91.1fm - Public Radio Group.

For tickets ($60 Gold Circle w/Meet & Greet, $50 orches., $45 mezz.), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
