Comedian Rodney Carrington comes to the Fred Kavli Theatre on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 8:00 pm.

Sporting his trademark black cowboy hat, boots and Texas twang, Carrington will take the stage live and uncensored. Carrington's popularity derives, in a large part, from his connection with his audience and his uncanny ability to make people laugh about all of life's experiences. King of middle class comedy, Carrington's no-holds-barred stand-up makes of a lively and energetic show filled with hilarious stories, musical odes and non-stop laughs. Part stand-up, part original song, 100 percent funny.

Rodney Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, and writer who has recorded eight major record label comedy albums selling over 3 million copies. Morning Wood has been certified gold and Greatest Hits has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Rodney starred in his own TV sitcom Rodney, which ran for two seasons on ABC. He co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer for My Horses. In 2011 Rodney partnered with the ACA (American Country Awards) by presenting at their awards show and hosting the American Country New Year's Eve Live show on Fox.

A native of Longview, TX, Carrington built a cult following through his regular exposure on syndicated morning radio shows, at the same time relentlessly touring the nation's comedy club circuit.
