Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) announces casting, preview and opening dates for the world-premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' newest play GLORIA, with previews starting Thursday, May 28, prior to opening Monday, June 15.

Evan Cabnet will direct GLORIA, with a cast that includes Jeanine Serralles, Jennifer Kim, Catherine Combs, Kyle Beltran, Mike Crane and Ryan Spahn.

The latest work from the writer of such acclaimed plays as AN OCTOROON, APPROPRIATE, WAR and NEIGHBORS, GLORIA is Mr. Jacobs-Jenkins' funny, trenchant and powerful new play that follows an ambitious group of editorial assistants at a notorious Manhattan magazine, each of whom hopes for a starry life of letters and a book deal before they turn 30. But when an ordinary humdrum workday becomes anything but, the stakes for who will get to tell their own story become higher than ever.

Mr. Jacobs-Jenkins received The Vineyard's distinguished Paula Vogel Playwriting Award for emerging writers in 2011. AN OCTOROON and APPROPRIATE earned Mr. Jacobs-Jenkins an Obie Award for Best New American Play in 2014.

Jeanine Serralles has performed Off-Broadway in MAPLE AND VINE (Playwrights Horizons) and STUNNING at LCT3, and has also appeared in the films "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Across the Universe." Jennifer Kim was featured in Amazon Original Series "Mozart in the Jungle" and the films "The Bourne Legacy" and "We Need to Talk About Kevin." Catherine Combs was in Noah Haidle's SMOKEFALL at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and Adam Rapp's THE EDGE OF OUR BODIES at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and film credits include "The Blind Side" and "13 Going on 30." Ryan Spahn co-wrote and starred in Michael Urie's film "He's Way More Famous Than You" and co-created the TV series "What's Your Emergency" with Halley Feiffer. Kyle Beltran was on Broadway in IN THE HEIGHTS and Off-Broadway in THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE and 10 THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE. Mike Crane is an actor and producer whose works include WINTER'S TALE, KINGS and MANHATTAN MELODY.

Evan Cabnet directed The Vineyard's debut of OUTSIDE PEOPLE, along with the Off-Broadway productions of DREAM OF THE BURNING BOY and ALL-AMERICAN. He will also be directing the upcoming THÉRÈSE RAQUIN on Broadway.

GLORIA has scenic design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Ilona Somogyi, lighting design by Matt Frey and sound design by Matt Tierney.

GLORIA concludes Vineyard Theatre's 2014-15 season; previous productions this season include Mike Bencivenga's comedy BILLY AND RAY directed by Garry Marshall, and the current (through March 29) world-premiere of the musical BROOKLYNITE by Michael Mayer and Peter Lerman. The Vineyard will hold its annual benefit gala - a tribute to producer Margo Lion, hosted by John Waters - on March 30.

Dedicated to the creation and production of daring new plays and musicals, The Vineyard has consistently premiered provocative, groundbreaking works, including Nicky Silver's THE LYONS; Marx, Lopez and Whitty's Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q; Kander and Ebb's THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS; Bell and Bowen's [title of show]; Paula Vogel's HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (1998 Pulitzer Prize); Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN (1994 Pulitzer Prize); Tarell Alvin McCraney's WIG OUT!; Becky Mode's FULLY COMMITTED; Jenny Schwartz' GOD'S EAR; Will Eno's MIDDLETOWN; and many more. The Vineyard's productions have been honored with two Pulitzer Prizes, three Tony Awards, and numerous Drama Desk, OBIES, Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Awards.

The Vineyard Theatre's leadership includes Douglas Aibel (Artistic Director), Sarah Stern (Artistic Director), and Jennifer Garvey-Blackwell (Executive Producer).

Tickets to GLORIA go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 9.
