Gold Company Will be “ROYALLY DUNN” at Miller Auditorium 2/11

Gold Company and GCII are back and bigger than ever in their new show, Royally Dunn! Come enjoy of some of music royalty's greatest hits, rearranged in true Gold Company style, with a special nod of thanks to retiring Western Michigan University President John Dunn. Experience the songs of Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley and more, plus some of Gold Company's traditional hits. Gold Company and GCII will be joined by Grammy-nominated GC Alum Jeremy Fox and the WMU University Symphony Orchestra for this Royal Extravaganza! Gold Company is the internationally regarded and award-winning vocal ensemble from WMU. The group has been selected numerous times as "Outstanding Vocal Jazz Ensemble" by the International Association for Jazz Education. They have also performed at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center and jazz festivals across the U.S. and Canada. The ensemble has been awarded over 45 "DB" awards from Down Beat magazine-more than any other university.

Gold Company is under the direction of Greg Jasperse, an alum of WMU-and Gold Company. A world-renowned composer, arranger, vocalist and pianist, Greg is no stranger to the stage or recording studio. His credits include numerous movie soundtracks such as "Epic," "Oz, The Great and Powerful," "The Campaign," "Star Trek" and "Star Trek 2," as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Monarchy of Roses" and Muse's album "The 2nd Law." Greg is a member of Vertical Voices and Sixth Wave. He had the pleasure of singing with Adele on the 85th Annual Oscars on her hit song "Skyfall." He has also recently arranged, produced and music-directed "A Gallagher Family Christmas" for William H. Macy and the cast of Showtime's "Shameless."
