Fresh off his first solo album release since 2011, Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill returns to the State Theatre on Sunday, September 18th as the first act of the venue's historic 90th season.

Show time is 7 PM. Tickets are $67 and $62 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by CAT Country 96, N. Pugliese, Inc and Victaulic.

Released in February, his latest album Down To My Last Bad Habit is a return to his favorite theme, love in all its incarnations: Love sweet and celebrated ("Me and My Girl," "My Favorite Movie"), love on fire ("Take Me Down," "Make You Feel Real Good"), love denied ("I'll Be Waiting for You," "Down to My Last Bad Habit"), and love lost and mourned ("I Can't Do This," "Reasons for the Tears I Cry"). Gill wrote or co-wrote every song on the album.

Vince Gill became just the second recording artist in history to receive the Irving Waugh Award of Excellence -the other being awarded to Johnny Cash - and also honored for his prolific songwriting career with the 2014 BMI Icon Award. He has won 18 more CMA honors, including Song of the Year four times - making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history. The Academy of Country Music has handed Gill 8 awards, including their prestigious "The Home Depot Humanitarian Award" and the "Career Achievement Award." Since 1990, Gill has received 20 GRAMMY Awards and has sold more than 26 million albums. Vince Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.

This will be Vince Gill's fifth solo performance at the State Theatre since 2007. In addition to his own solo concerts, Gill also does about 30 gigs a year with the Grammy-nominated The Time Jumpers, the sophisticaTed Nashville-based ensemble dedicated to revitalizing western-swing and classic honky tonk. He performed with The Time Jumpers at the State Theatre in 2013.

Opened in 1926 on the vaudeville circuit, the State Theatre is a non-profit, member- supported arts center celebrating 90 Years of WOW during the 2016-2017 season. The fantastic opening week continues with vocal legends Johnny Mathis on Thursday, September 22nd and BrIan Wilson on Saturday, September 24th. Other early highlights during the milestone season include Penn & Teller, the 20th Anniversary Tour of RENT and Patti LuPone. For more information on the 90th Season visit statetheatre.org.
