The Wizard of Oz (Now - Mar 16)

"We're off to see..." the most magical adventure of them all. Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic.

Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this new production contains all the beloved songs from the Oscar®- winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their hearts' desires. Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys as you rediscover the real story of Oz in this fantastic musical treat for all the family.

Green Day's American Idiot (Mar 21-23)

Direct from Broadway, the smash-hit musical AMERICAN IDIOT tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Time in Motion (Mar 22)

Musiqa returns to the Hobby Center for the close of thier major concert season with a thrilling multi-media performance that will feature works by Guillaume Connesson, Marc-André Dalbavie and Mason Bates, a performance by Houston's groundbreaking modern dance company NobleMotion Dance to a work by Musiqa composer Pierre Jalbert and the film Big Bang Big Boom by Blu, presented by Houston Cinema Arts Society.

Premieres: Cultural Ambassadors! (Mar 23)

Foundation for Modern Music presents: Premieres: Cultural Ambassadors! concert celebrating internationally acclaimed works of composer Virko Baley and visual artist David Adickes. The afternoon concert will be a festive celebration of Baley's music including premieres of his music and of Stephen Bachicha's music, who studied with Baley. Adickes will unveil his new work: 40 paintings of the most influential musicians of all time. A highlight of the afternoon will be a presentation of the 'Cultural Ambassador Award' to both artists for their amazing contributions and distinguished careers.
