Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) today announced Buffalo native Ellen Hassett Cahill as its new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Hassett Cahill was voted into the position, which carries a three-year term, on December 18, 2013. She previously served a two-year term as Vice-Chairman on the RLTP Board.

"Community excels from collaboration, communication, and cooperation. Live theatre is a vital venue for such interactive dialogue, for idea exploration, identification of one's voice, even development of empathy...in a safe and nurturing environment..." said Hassett Cahill. "Nothing is more impactful, personally, than witnessing the birth and development of an original work of art capable of speaking to a diverse audience in heartfelt and intellectual ways. Through its programs, productions, and people, RLTP paves a wide path for artistic inclusion. RLTP educational programming is second to none. I am honored to serve and grateful to be appointed chair of this one-of-a-kind non-profit."

"RLTP is privileged to have a Board composed of the best leadership for advancing its strategic goals," said Scott Behrend, RLTP Executive & Artistic Director. "Ellen understands the challenges we face and brings to the Chairmanship a passion for the organization and business excellence, both of which will strengthen RLTP's impact in attaining its mission."

Hassett Cahill holds a 25-year career in strategic business consulting. She has published for the Educause Center for Applied Research, is a member of the MIT Technology Review Research Panel, an alumna of American University, The Folger Institute, and Nichols School.
