Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) has announced that the next production in its 2013-2014 10th Anniversary season, An Iliad, by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, has received sponsorship support from Nichols School, a nationally recognized co-educational college preparatory school in Buffalo, NY.

Starring RLTP Ensemble Member Matt Witten and directed by David Oliver, An Iliad is a one-man tour-de-force that takes viewers through a world filled with historic encounters between heroes, the bonds of honor, and the machinations of the meddling gods. Many important players from this mythological conflict come to life on the stage, including Homer, the bard credited with passing on the earliest version of this story.

In connection with its sponsorship support, Nichols School students will enjoy a special on-campus performance of the play. The upcoming event has been closely woven with class curricula. Additional collaboration resulting from the sponsorship includes faculty input on the program insert distributed to the audience throughout the production run.

"Nichols is thrilled to be partnering with Road Less Traveled on An Iliad." said Nichols Art Department Chair and RLTP Ensemble Member Kristen Tripp Kelley. "This dynamic retelling of Homer's classic will give Nichols students the chance to connect to our Arts and English curriculum in a new and powerful way."

RLTP Board Chair and Nichols School Alumna Ellen Hassett Cahill said, "Nichols School supports a lifetime of student achievement, whether the student is currently enrolled or an alumna of 30 years. Already universally recognized for its contributions in the liberal arts, Nichols is forever forging even greater academic value for its students-in this case, especially, for those studying in particular pursuit of the Arts. I am grateful to the school for its strong support of RLTP and its ongoing leadership dedication to the community."
