Barclays Center is proud to announce the Puerto Rican Day Parade Salsa Festival featuring live performances by the biggest names in Latin music including multi Grammy Award winners WILLIE COLÓN, JERRY RIVERA, SONORA PONCEÑA, GRUPO NICHE, ANDY MONTAÑEZ, EDDIE SANTIAGO, TITO ROJAS and LOS ADOLECENTES on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 8PM. About Willie Colón
Willie Colón, born in the South Bronx of Puerto Rican grandparents, has fused his musical talent, his passion for humanity, and his community and political activism into an extraordinary, multifaceted career. His achievements in all its activities are widely recognized. As a musician, composer, arranger, singer and trombonist, both as producer and director, he has created 40 productions that have sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Colon's collaboration with Ruben Blades, "Siembra", still matiene as larger disk sales in the genre. His collaborations with the great Hector Lavoe were the starting point for this urban / Caribbean fusion joined the Latin diaspora with their home countries. As director of the group "Legal Alien" (Legal Alien) has was nominated 11 times for the American Grammy, received the award for Excellence Latin Grammy, it has fifteen gold and five platinum, and has worked with big names like David Byrne, Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz and others.

About Jerry Rivera

About Grupo Niche
Grupo Niche are known for their fast tempos, aggressive trumpets and well crafted lyrics that navigated from feel-good partying to romance and social consciousness. To this day, tracks like Grupo Niche's hit "Cali Pachanguero" and "Una Aventura" are forever associated with Colombian salsa and play in virtually every tropical radio station and club in the world. Grupo Niche, a large salsa band with a big, aggressive sound founded on African rhythms, together with trombonist Alexis Lozano (who would later leave to launch his own band, Guayacán). Grupo Niche broke out with its second album, Querer Es Poder on indie label Codiscos, which included the single "Buenaventura y Caney," an homage to the coastal city of Buenaventura. Niche's popularity was consolidated with 1984's No Hay Quinto Malo, which included the hit "Cali Pachanguero," an homage to Cali, the city best known in Colombia for its salsa music.
