“First They Greet You, Then They Eat You”: BLOOD DINER, THE PRINCESS BRIDE, and More at the Alamo Drafthouse

The Alamo Drafthouse is now open for business in Downtown Brooklyn, featuring a program of new releases and classic film events. This week brings exciting new releases to the Alamo, including Denis Villeneuve's ARRIVAL and Todd Rohal's UNCLE KENT 2, with an even more exciting roster of special screenings and film events. In a new monthly series beginning November 10th & 17th, Wyatt Cenac and Donwill will break the Alamo's 'no talking' rule on their own terms with "Shouting at the Screen", bringing the best and baddest in cult blaxploitation films to downtown Brooklyn, complete with drinking games, obscure trivia, and classics of black cinema every month.

With the immortal tagline of "First they greet you, then they eat you", BLOOD DINER brings a truly unforgettable meal to the Alamo Drafthouse, stretching the limits of good taste for this special event screening on November 12th. Moviegoers should bring their appetites - director Jackie Kong will be in attendance for a delicious Q&A following the film. On November 17th, the Alamo will celebrate love - twue wuv - with a Quote-Along Movie Party for '90s classic THE PRINCESS BRIDE, with star Cary Elwes in person for a conversation following the film. The evening will feature inflatable swords and a Rescue Princess Buttercup Game, and every attendee will receive a signed copy of Elwes' best-selling memoir "As You Wish". Inconceivable!
