CHEERS LIVE ON STAGE, a comedy based on the best and most memorable moments from the Emmy Award-winning classic hit TV series, will launch a national tour at Boston's Citi Shubert Theatre, playing September 9-18, 2016. Presented by Citi Performing Arts Center and John Tobin Presents, tickets will go on sale on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Citi Center box office, through www.citicenter.org or by calling (866) 348-9738. Press night is set for Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 7:00 pm.

Set in the interior of the iconic neighborhood bar (where drinking all day is the Norm!), audiences will laugh along with Carla, Coach, Cliff, and Norm, as Sam "Mayday" Malone and Diane "Buzzkill" Chambers meet for the first time, share a first kiss and a first fight.

The live show adaptation will be brought to life by Stageworks Media and TROIKA Entertainment. Following the Boston engagement, the tour will play a multi-week engagement at Chicago's Broadway Playhouse, before continuing across the U.S. Casting will be announced at a later date.

"Cheers," ranked one of TV Guide's "50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time," aired for eleven seasons between 1982 and 1993. It garnered top 10 ratings for seven of its eleven seasons and often earned the number one ranking in the weekly Nielsens. The show received 26 Emmy Awards and 4 Golden Globe Awards.

CHEERS LIVE ON STAGE, will play at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, 265 Tremont St., Boston, Friday, September 9 - Sunday, September 18, 2016, for 11 performances: Tuesday at 7:00 pm; Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm; Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm; Sunday, September 18 at 6:30 pm (no Sunday evening performance on September 11); and afternoon matinees at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 17 (no matinee on Saturday, September 10), and at 1:00 pm on Sundays.
