What songs from shows have to do with food or drink? So far I've thought of:

"Food, Glorious Food" from OLIVER!
"Chrysanthemum Tea" from PACIFIC OVERTURES
"Booze" from RAISIN
"Ice Cream" from STREET SCENE and SHE LOVES ME
"A Real Nice Clambake" ::Shudders:: from CAROUSEL

Praying Decca Broadway will put "Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope" on CD!

A Little Priest!

"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott

"Coffee" from "See What I Wanna See"
"Hominy Grits" from Grey Gardens (We all knew I had to come up with this one) and "Jerry Likes My Corn" (guess they like food as a topic-I know, this doesn't focus so much on food as the others, but it's in the title)

"A birdcage I plan to hang. I'll get to that someday. A birdcage for a bird who flew away...Around the world." "Life is a cabaret old chum, only a cabaret old chum, and I love a cabaret!"-RIP Natasha Richardson-I was honored to have witnessed her performance as Sally Bowles.

Can't remember the name of the song, it's the one Chef Louis sings in "The Little Mermaid" about cooking crabs and fish. (I think it's "Les Poissons" or something.)

Some of these may be stretching it a bit, but...

"Sposalizio" and "Fresno Beauties" - The Most Happy Fella
"M&M's" - Violet
"No More Candy" - She Loves Me
"Sara Lee" - And the World Goes Round
"Dry" and "Gin" - The Wild Party
"All I Owe Ioway" - State Fair
"Molasses to Rum" - 1776
"It Couldn't Please Me More" (the pineapple song) - Cabaret
"Let's Have Lunch" - Sunset Blvd.

And lots of songs from Little Shop, if we're counting people as "food" :)

Ice Cream from Anne Of Green Gables. It's obscure (and Canadian!) but fits your description.

Ice cream! Is anything more delectable than ice cream? Why, even the most respectable eat ice cream!

And I wasn't even in that song...

Anyway, would "Ladies Who Lunch" count? I like to think it counts.

"People that excel in the arts understand that the journey is the reward...the result an added bonus. Every day I act or train is a blessing and a dream come true. If Broadway beckons so be it. I have a personal definition of success that is unshakable by a possibly unobtainable goal." -HamletWasBipolar
