I've just read that Barry Nelson died on April 7th.

I had the pleasure of seeing him on Broadway many times: MARY, MARY, CACTUS FOWER, THE ACT, and THE NORMAN CONQUESTS. After stage-dooring at one show, he invited me to join him for a drink at a narby pub. We had a good hour's conversation.

He was a good actor and a fine man.

May he rest in peace.

I saw him in the shows Dolly mentioned

A bit of trivia involving Mr Nelson. He was the first James Bond in a TV version of Casino Royale

I saw Barry Nelson in the national tour of "42nd Street" back in 1985. I remember enjoying his performance very much.
