The calm before the storm. Overall a good week, but we'll have to wait till next week to get a real idea of what will survive the summer if they haven't already set a closing date.

Were refunds offered to people at Dear Evan Hansen, even though Ben isn't technically above the title? If so, doesn't look like they were hurt at all.

Hopefully Bandstand will continue to grow after their win and a solid performance last night.

WOW the WAITRESS gross. An incredible accomplishment for the show and Sara Bareilles.

Groundhog Day is getting close to breaking $1 million. Have the done that so far in the run? Will be interesting to see if their lackluster Tony performance will boost sales or not.

Kinky Boots is looking really good. I figured it would close by the end of the year but Brendon Urie is packing them in. We'll see if they could pull off another big name in the show after his departure.

I thought that Brendon Urie was already a stale commodity, but the crowds outside the Hirschfeld stage door are enormous these days.

It has not broken $1 million.  And I don't foresee a Tonys boost.

Really happy for Waitress, will be interesting to see what happens next week, post Sara.

WAITRESS has had the highest average ticket price behind HAMILTON and HELLO DOLLY for weeks now. Steady is an understatement. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of Sara.

I don't think they did. I'm pretty sure the only shows that have been this season are Hello, Dolly! for Bette, Sunset Boulevard for Glenn, and The Great Comet for Josh.

I bought advance tickets for Kinky Boots at the box office and I asked if Brendon Urie was out for some unplanned reason if a refund would be offered and they assured me that they would refund the ticket.

In the Ben Platt/Vocal Rest thread someone posted that they did offer refunds this weekend.

I think Miss Saigon might join the club once summer gets in full swing. After recouping not too long ago, School of Rock is back over the million dollar mark.

If it can continue its current trend, Chicago stands to have its highest grossing year EVER.  Clearly, that is due to ticket price increases over the year, but it is pretty amazing, given that it is essentially a small show, in contrast to other long runs.  I would love to know what its lowest weekly nut is, cause I am beginning to think that they are going to go for 10,000.

I would love to know how much it costs the weekly-run of ''Chicago'', I know it's a small production, but isn't necessary around 450-500k per week to a musical in general? Yes, I know they did 600k+ this week, but still.

The turn around for Kinky Boots is incredible, congrats Mr Urie!

Also, things are already becoming quiet for War Paint and, possibly, Miss Saigon. Will they reach 2018?

Yeah Miss Saigon and War Paint both surprises me...

War Paint I had thought with the two leading stars that would make it a major sell-out... And the hype for Miss Saigon made it seem like that was going to be another major hit.  War Paint being shut out from the Tonys will hurt the show and I think it will close after Labor Day.

Miss Saigon, Macintosh has deep pockets and they've already announced it as a "Limited Run" (not sure if they named a closing date) but I would think it will make it till at least New Year's (to take part in that huge box office of Christmas week)

I made the mistake of walking past there a couple weeks ago not realizing that he had started or was as big of a draw. I basically had to cross to the opposite side of 45th to get through, the crowd was spilling into the street and I'm amazed someone didn't get hit by a cab.

Those Six Degrees numbers make me cringe. Also wondering how long Miss Saigon can stay open.

I think War Paint sold a lot of tickets last night with that performance! I think it appealed to exactly who it needed to appeal to.

I think that War Paint is one of those productions that's an "unspoken" limited run, meaning that even if attendance and grosses hold up, it will be over the minute LuPone and Ebersole leave.
