They/them.
"Get up the nerve to be all you deserve to be."
I hope Bernadette gets recognised for her wonderful performance in FOLLIES.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
How about just because the other thread is titled NOMINATIONS which are coming out this morning, we use it through today, and then we can transition over to this one?

I would agree with that. That set looks pretty lush and gorgeous.
Thank god someone finally recognized Gregg Barnes for his incredible work on Tuck. So sad it did not recieve anything else since I thought it was an amazing show, but those costume were a big standout to me this season.
The nominations seem very fair and I think we are so fortunate to have a season filled with so much excitement and amazement!!!
CindersGolightly said: "The 2016 Tony Award nominees are as follows:
Best Featured Actor in a Musical Daveed Diggs, Hamilton Brandon Victor Dixon, Shuffle Along Christopher Fitzgerald, Waitress Jonathan Groff, Hamilton Christopher Jackson, Hamilton"
Since Jonathan Groff has left the cast of Hamilton already, is he at a disadvantage to win this category? Or have all the Tony voters seen Jonathan perform already? I always thought the Tony voters will watch all the nominated musicals/plays from now until the day of Tony Awards to make their decision --- or do they watch the show anytime since the show's opening?
My predictions! Not sure if I was supposed to post this here or in the nominations thread. Again, I don't know much about the plays so here are my musical predictions.

I hate the Jesse Tyler Ferguson snub for Fully Committed. I personally did not like A View From The Bridge (too heavy handed), and would have picked Jesse over Mark Strong. Or a tie in this category, giving a 6th spot for Jesse would have been ideal. OH WELL.

I think either Christopher or Daveed will win. It seems like they are both wonderful and generate a lot of energy.
Margo319 said: "Sad that no actors from Shuffle Along were nominated but happy with that rest. Especially Cynthia Erivo in The Color Purple, she is breaktaking."
Um Brandon Victor Dixon and Adrienne Warren were both nominated.
Why did they have all seven monitors at the announcement when they only used two the entire time?
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Very sad news: one of this year's Tony honorees, attorney Seth Gelblum, passed away yesterday. Happy he was able to receive his award beforehand, if very shortly.
