Thanks Jorge, I missed the thread. Saw the show recently on tour in D.C. and though I enjoyed it, the Broadway cast was truly exceptional. When I saw it in N.Y. it still had the original cast (except for the Miss Honey character). We were fortunate enough to score front row tickets the day of the performance. What was really fun for us was stage dooring the show (which I should do more) since we wanted to thank the cast for a wonderful evening. To our delight and surprise, upon exiting the theatre both Gabriel Ebert and Lesli Margherita greeted us by saying, "You were in the front row! You were in the front row!" And what really made my day was when Jill Paice, whose performance I adored (and must have heard my yelping at her curtain call) exuberantly said to me, "I could FEEL your energy! Thank you!" The cast seemed to be on such a post-show high which was really heartwarming to see. All in all, a most memorable theatre experience of a brilliant show that should've had a longer run.
^gentlemans guide won the tony and closed while beautiful and Aladdin are still running. Anyway, Matilda is the far superior show.
