Oh my god. This movie is absurdly good. Every single second of it is powerful and beautiful and intense and absolutely perfect. Isabelle Huppert gives one of the greatest performances I've ever seen in this movie. Of course, Haneke is perfect as usual in his filmmaking. And the movie is equal parts disturbing and insanely entertaining. Just an incredible feat. Has anybody else seen this movie? Thoughts?
I saw it (hard to believe this movie is almost 15 years old!) and yes, Huppert gave an incredible performance. I remember it being disturbing and something I didn't feel like I would be watching on DVD over and over again. Still, I can remember some of scenes/images quite vividly, especially that scene in the bathroom and the final moments. Powerful stuff.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
