How long will they be in the show?

My only concern is Sydney Lucas aging out of her role.  It happens.  My guess is, she's there through December, but it's only a guess.  But it may prove true of the company: a year?  That means March.  I hope Sydney can remain until then.

While we're talking about the cast: an almost unsung hero in this production, upstaged by Lucas, though not entirely (Tony nomination), is Beth Malone.  Her job is challenging, and she is in every way superb.  On the CD, "Maps" and "Telephone Wire" are just beautiful, two of Tesori's most haunting melodies, and sung with enormous emotional intuition by the gifted Malone, who loses herself in the role of Allison.  Watch her face on any and all of the footage: she is the real deal.

I was thinking the same thing, that the sturdy backbone of her presence is something that can almost be taken for granted.  Her ability to move around and through the action at Circle in The Square makes her more integrated than she seemed at the Public to me.  This was definitely one of those years when I was asking WHY do the revival actors have to compete with the new musical actors?

My only hope is that when she does age out, Gabby Pizzolo will get to take over! She is still REALLY tiny, and has slayed in Matilda, so I can't imagine how great she'll be here!

I heard an interview with Zell Morrow, who plays the eldest brother in the show, today where it was stated that his contract goes up in October. Not sure what that means for Sydney, but I think the two boys have 3-4 more months.
