Is Sunny Afternoon coming to Bway

Not yet.  And maybe, never.  

We really enjoyed it - but I like the Kinks.  But even in the UK, there were lots of responses from people we saw it with of "I didn't know that song was The Kinks."  It also has plenty of UK specific references that might not translate for a US audience.  And, then, there's the whole Act Two dustup with The Kinks' first US tour which didn't go so well.    

Also, I have no idea how it is selling in the West End - because the West End doesn't publish financial information.  If it's not selling there, it likely won't sell on Broadway.

It probably needs, at a minimum, a love letter in the NYTimes.  

But, who knows? I never would have guessed that a show about the Four Seasons would be such a hit.
