The headline is bad enough: Memphis businessman brutally raped woman seeking housekeeper job at his mansion: police.
But this quote says absolutely EVERYTHING about the state of the US right now:
Giannini forced the victim – a mother of four – to swallow urine, fecal matter, and blood as he raped her orally, anally, and vaginally on an American flag towel at his home, police said.
My subject line originally said u b e r-rich but my autocorrect put in an umlaut and it messed up everything. Then all I could do was delete it and not add anything new.
And so. Well. I think this captures this moment in time absolutely perfectly. And you know what that millionaire was doing? Class warfare.
If the rich thought the 99% were a serious threat to them, they wouldn't be doing stuff like this in the first place.
The rich will be shocked, SHOCKED, when the torches and pitchforks come out. All the more reason for it to happen, sooner rather than later.

Below is a link to the damning police report and the list of items removed from the house. I do not believe that the existence of sex toys is in any way an indication of the depravity of most people who possess them. However, this guy needs to be removed from society. Forever. really awful stuff
This is like the story of the Dangerous Top, the guy who would pick up guys in S&M bars, bring them home, and torture them for days on end. Word finally got around about him, there was a story in the Village Voice about the situation. Evidently he would tell his victims that "I'm a rich and powerful man, no one will believe you."

I'm sure his lawyer will pull out his violin and play the "He can't handle prison" concerto.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
