I suspect it will if the October production at The La Jolla Playhouse gets a decent reception. Disney has been pretty consistent about giving Broadway a shot with their musicals.

What I am really asking should I hold off broadway until next year I would love to see hunchback. But After and If/Then with Idina and Gentlemans all look great.

I doubt that Idina will be there next year. But, i give Hunchback around 2015-2017 to come on Broadway

What was the most shows Disney ever had playing on Broadway at one time? Is Newsies losing steam? Is the idea to bring a small production of Hunchback to the Nederlander once Newsies has run its course? If Aladdin is successful I can't imagine them wanting 4 shows running simultaneously. That's a lot of seats to fill.

There were a few months in '06-'07 when Disney had four productions running simultaneously: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE LION KING, TARZAN, and MARY POPPINS. POPPINS opened in November 2006 and the four ran together until BEAUTY and TARZAN closed in July 2007.

Stevie, I word from someone who has had the good fortune to be around for awhile. Don't put off the good things in life. Go to Broadway if you have the chance.

I've heard from folks with connections to Disney that they don't plan to bring Jungle Book to Broadway until Lion King is gone. Disney doesn't want two jungle themed musicals at the same time (although they did already do that with Tarzan and Lion King. That could also be the reason they don't want to do it again.)

^Ok, so from what I've heard, Disney is putting TJB in the UK as a test run, then put it in Broadway. So, it could be in 5-10 years that TLK will close and TJB will take over. Hopefully, it won't be like B&TB/TLK.

if that is true then its a stupid reason, who actually sits down and think, "gosh I want to see a show but they have 2 with jungles, which of those should I go see?"

I also don't see LK going anywhere in at least another 10 years

I thought Jungle Book was created for licensing purposes since they're not going to license The Lion King just yet,

So, I guess we can expect Hunchback to me on the smaller side? Boo. I wanted a big epic musical.

The artwork is up on the La Jolla Playhouse website.

IMO, that artwork is just bad. Also, Stephen and Scott look so eerily similar. I know that they are father and son, but they look like they could be brothers.

Eek. Hope they create a much better one for the Broadway version.

I like the simplicity of the logo, more than the Berlin version. They might have a different logo for Broadway.

The Berlin one was weirdly campy, but that is just ugly.

If you look at the other shows in the La Jolla 2014-2015 season, you'll notice that it seems that the same person designed all of the artwork. If there is indeed a Broadway production, there will be new artwork, without a doubt.

I like the drama of the Berlin logo and the coloring I feel reflected more of the darkness of the musical. This song I feel looks like it would be a logo for the song "Out there" but that's it. I certainly don't think it's ugly but I don't think it's necessarily the best reflector of the show.

I like the font but Notre Dame is a grand Cathedral, the bells dont just hang off a random bit of wood. It gives the impression of a small and cheap story, which if it is an intimate production might be the reason
