Kerrigan and Lowdermilk concert at the St James

There will be concerts of songs by the fantastic song-writing team of Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk at the St James Theatre Studio on February 8th and 9th. I love their work, so I've booked for Sunday Feb 9th.

They will be joined by some amazing guest vocalists, including Julie Atherton, Lauren Samuels, Chloe Hart, Daniel Boys and Stuart Matthew Price (who is also one of the producers of the concerts).

Really looking forward to this - anyone else going?

I find their music hit or miss. They have some really nice tunes, but some of them are truly very generic and hard to listen to. I think their best songs are from "Samantha Brown".

What I love about their song-writing is that it's fresh and vibrant and they have their own distinctive "voice".

And the cast of star guests is pretty stellar - I love Stuart, Daniel and Chloe's voices - and I would pay to hear Julie and/or Lauren sing the phone-book!

Was at the final concert last night (wish I could have gotten to Saturday's concert with Rachel Tucker as well!). It was a phenomenal night!

Kerrigan & Lowdermilk had immense presence and natural charm on stage and their songs were varied in style and seriously brilliant.

The vocal performances were all amazing. Hard to single anyone or anything out but Stuart Matthew Price sang Run Away With Me better than I've ever heard it, Chloe Hart was a vocal powerhouse, Jodie Jacobs delivered her usual stunning combination of beautifully textured vocals and electrifying power, Julie Atherton blew everyone away with her seriously fantastic performance of My Party Dress - and Lauren Samuels proved once again that she is a world class actress and singer.


Felt so privileged to be there.

Another video from the St James Studio concert went up on youtube today - Lauren Samuels singing "Say the Word" (from the Kerrigan-LOwdermilk musical "The Unauthorized Biography of Samantha Brown"). I think this is a phenomenal song - and Lauren's performance is way beyond merely phenomenal.
