Am I the only who thinks this would be an amazing show for Broadway. It would get a lot of young people who maybe weren't into theatre before in the door. It would be something totally new. You can definetly get some big names in it too. Maybe not Rebel Wilson but I think Skylar Astin would do it. And who knows maybe even add a few new songs to the show? I think it would be something very popular and could run on Broadway for years. What does everyone think? Also if a lot of people from the movie don't do the show, we might as well start dream casting!

Yes. I loved the movie, but I do not think it belongs on Broadway.

From a career standpoint, it makes zero sense for Skylar Astin to come back to Broadway to be the 3rd or 4th lead in a show he already did.

But yeah it would sell incredibly on broadway. Just copy paste the Bring It On style and it'd be a sure hit.

I think it would make a wonderful stage show---perfect for high schools and community theatres and should TOTALLY be adapted for that reason; however, it should not come to Broadway.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Some things just need to stay on film. This is one of them.

If they copied the Bring it On style, don't you think it's more likely that it would flop like Bring it On did?

I hated it through and through. I was sure I'd have whiplash by all the BAERs I had.

I'm with rosscoe and mama. My friends forced me to see it and I still don't understand why are so many people obsessed with it.

I absolutely love and have seen it an embarrassing number of times. I don't want a Broadway stage version of it, but a high school/college licensed version would be fitting

Just because they cover pop songs?

It would be extremely expensive to pay rights for all that cover music. (Has Rock of Ages even recouped yet...and even if it has, it took a damn long time.)

The music isn't connected to the story, they are just performances. And since it isn't about the music (like Once) there is no emotional pay off for the music.

I loved Pitch Perfect but thought it was way too drawn out. It gets really frustrating during the middle of the movie or so.

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
