Have not been in this theatre. Have heard it is small. How is seating view from Row J Right Orchestra seats 6-8? Or is Row M Center seating better? Thanks
The leg space particularly in the balcony is horrendous. The orchestra is also tight. Row J should be fine but if I remember correctly the seats are not very well raked so if you get a big or tall person in front of you.. then it is not so good. It is a old theater. This one and the Belasco are the most uncomfortable theaters for me.
Can't comment on the view vis a vis THE NANCE specifically, but the Balcony of the Lyceum is about as uncomfortable a space as I can think of on Broadway. There's a hell of a lot of stairs (the old, pre-Civil Rights building requires a separate staircase to access the Balc than the one for the Mezz) and the side sections of the Balcony are visibly settling at a slight angle.
The Shuberts need to renovate that one, and I have to imagine it's the top of their list, but it's also a protected Landmark...
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
does anyone know how high the stage is for the Nance? went with linctix, and all that it was offering up for the dates we could go was the front row, left and right orchestra. I found an old thread that said it could be high depending on the show, so just wondering if anyone knows for this production.
It's always the same high stage. I've never seen it lowered. The first two rows are a bitch and the first two rows on the sides are damn near obstructed.

Bettyboy72 - I got m LincTix tickets for A 2-4. Is it going to be that bad?
I was originally offered A 101 but didn't want to sit in the center 2nd row because I tend to prefer the side aisle as it's usually a better view. Is this not really going to be an ok view at all?
broadway_show_fan, I hope those seats are fine, I heard the legroom was tight in this theater so I wanted an aisle seat, the only one available was in Row B, side section.
show_fan-I actually sat at the A 101 seat when I saw it and didn't have any particular issues with it. The stage is indeed high and the front row was staring a wall, though some sitting there didn't mind. Off to the side, you may miss a bit of the "backstage" business when they are in the burlesque.
tobiasragg, GOLDEN BOY played the Belasco. If you are looking at just comparing the heights from the LincTix seats I would say that the ones for THE NANCE are a bit harder to get a great view than those at the Belasco for GOLDEN BOY.
Does anyone have any experience at this theater with front row mezzanine? Is the railing particularly high? I figure front row mezz might be better than orchestra row J (other option available). And this would be for The Visit.

I second this question (re: FULLY COMMITTED)... Is the stage high for the production?

I sat in 3rd row orchestra. I wouldn't consider the stage high at all, but I'm not sure what's your tolerance for stage height. Generally speaking, I prefer front orchestra to front mezzanine, and I love sitting front row if I can get it (because I'm short and can't see over most people sitting in front of me in orch).
I think if stage height matters, then starting about 3-4 rows back would be perfect.
I sat in Row J Orchestra on Monday on the aisle. Terrific seat from TKTS, maybe just a couple of rows forward and it would be totally perfect. Stage is VERY high.
