What do you guys think? I think she'll finally have a hit again. I think it's really catchy, and it's hard to go wrong with Max Martin, these days. Hopefully this will be an up for her after her last album being a colossal flop.

It was just okay for me. Nothing about the song would want me to listen numerous times. It was the type of song for someone like Kesha, not the talented Christina. But even though the last cd was a commercial flop, I really liked it. But even though, I'm not a fan of this single, I would still buy the new cd. She is an artist that I purchase her new releases.

I have to say I really hated her last album. But I enjoy her other albums and this song is pretty good.

With her exposure on The Voice this should be a return to the charts for her.

....but the world goes 'round

Britney can release the same electronic, auto-tuned, robotic sounding drivel, and pop fans will continue to cream their pants.
Christina has had it harder since day one. Because of her talents, there are big expectations for her music. If Britney released this track, people would be going "gaga."

Not really. Britney "Auto-Tune" Spears has NO BUSINESS judging talent on X Factor.

As for Christina, I love her but that song just sin't doin' it for me.

Christina has a good voice, of course, but she coasts on it a lot. Just because you can sing, that doesn't mean that you're singing is emotionally captivating (Hello, Joss Stone) or that you're a innovative artist. She does best with songs that are more about feeling good and having fun. She knows how to fuse those kinds of songs with kinetic energy.

One of her best performances:
Something's Got a Hold on Me on Ellen
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

There is no comparison, for me, in Christina's voice/talent vs Britney. Christina will always be the winner. But Britney's last couple of cds, for whatever type of music you want to call it, for me, were great. I loved every song. Although, I'm not sure if they were commericial successes, (I would say yes), she got alot of airplay from them. Christina's last cd, I think she got a raw deal on it. There were many tracks on that cd, that should have went to radio. Maybe it's her image. Britney, is the diva, thats been through hell, but for that reason, (among others)that we love her. Christina, on the other hand, at times, comes across as nasty and full of herself. I don't know. Just my opinion. I'm fans of both and buy their cds, when they put them out. Its the same for Madonna and Mariah Carey. I'll pull out the money for anything they release other than a Christmas cd!

While I do agree with you, I believe this recording of Christina's is certainly emotionally captivating.

I prefer her when she isn't growling, shouting, and singing from her throat - aka this song.

I think it's a tad bit too slow to captivate younger listeners.

The song is a bland middle-of-road slice of electronica that Madge, Gaga, Britney and Keysha do better, all things considered. After one listen, it's already forgotten.

Both Christina and Toni Braxton tend to cut off their noses to spite their faces. That is, they continually try to catch the latest wave irritating their long-time fans who long for their earlier artistry.

This is not a harbinger of a successful comeback vehicle for an artist of Christina's statue. Things go in cycles. Disco spelled doom for many rock, soul and country acts years ago. And what disco didn't ruin, rap pulverized. Electronica today is not doing Christina and several others any favors either.
It ain't what I think of you, it's what you is.

Yes, but she only seems to be able to do that with songs that are autobiographical.

And as a 31-year old single parent from divorce she should have plenty of life experience to draw from. That single does not target her own demographic. I'm confident her truest fans would like to see her grow at more or less the same pace as them. Only Madonna has been successful at channeling teen-aged angst for over 40 yrs but by some indicators her act's starting to grow stale. Pop stardom is very fleeting.

I wish Christina the best regardless of her career path.

My bad. Still, it's not doing so bad at 8. How often does itunes update their list?
