"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
Fun Fact - My tv guide said that TCM was going to be showing a movie called Mary starrring Juliette Binoche, about a woman playing Mary Magadelene in a movie that gets overtaken by the role or something. What was actually shown was 1963's Mary, Mary starring Debbie Reynolds and based on the play of the same name!
MARY, MARY - Cute film starring Debbie Reynolds and Barry Nelson, adapted from the Broadway hit starring Mr. Nelson and Barbara Bel Geddes. Now available to own from Warner Archive Collection.
I could spend the rest of my life happily remembering Mary, Mary, the high point of my theatregoing experience.
But also, what it was like to go to the theatre then. The window cards and pictures outside the (old) Helen Hayes Theatre. The Howard Johnson's across the street. Their ice cream cake. The automat. The posters of shows in Shubert Alley: Carnival, Irma La Douce, Tenderloin, Wildcat... and of course, Mary, Mary.
Magic, all of it.
Alas, all but a memory now.
So thank you, again, Smaxie. Loved that artwork too.
