Iron Crow Theatre will debut its first SecondStage season in history. "The Zero Hour, by Madeleine George, is an almost-love story exploring the games we play with ourselves and the games our minds are capable of playing with us, on their own.

Rebecca and her chronically unemployed butch girlfriend, O, have created a happy nest in their run-down walk-up in Queens, but things are starting to unravel. The more O pushes Rebecca to stop hiding their relationship, the more Rebecca's work life-writing a textbook for seventh graders about the Holocaust- begins to bleed into her personal life.

"Madeleine uses this amazing convention of having Nazis appear on the 7 train in NYC. We started rehearsing just after Trump was elected, and it is truly startling to confront notions of fascism, ultimate truth, guilt, and absolution in this new context. This is our world--as artists we have to claim our history and our future--and although it is downright terrifying to unpack these ideas, it fits right into our season theme of Dark Play. " says Director Ann Turiano.
