On Friday, October 12, 2012, Imagination Stage will host the musical
How Far I've Come, produced by A Place to Be Musical Therapy and written by
Amy Stone, with music by Tom Sweitzer.
How Far I've Come depicts the life of its author, teenager
Amy Stone, who has cerebral palsy. With sincerity and humor, the play takes audiences through Amy's challenges, accomplishments, and philosophies. The performance aims to help people understand that "although we are all different, we all live beneath the same sky."
Diane Nutting, Imagination Stage's Director of Access and Inclusion says, "
Amy Stone's play aligns with Imagination Stage's belief that the arts can help all young people to unlock their full creative potential and achieve new levels of communication. We are delighted to welcome
The company of
How Far I've Come to our stage to share this story."
