Parents will be able to ensure their students with interest in various performing arts mediums are engaged this summer with camps from Drama Learning Center. The drama fun will run from July 8 - August 2, 2013. Tuition for DLC Baltimore summer camps is $295 per week per child. Refer-a-friend discounts are available for students who register for camp together.

DLC Baltimore drama camps are all held at the Maryland State Boychoir Center for the Arts in Baltimore's historic Mayfield community. Camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Extended care is available for an additional fee by advanced registration only. New for this year, all camps will be held in a spacious, light-filled, air-conditioned rehearsal studio. Topics to be covered include "Dynamic Disney Celebration," "TV Stars: Production Process," "Pop Star," and "Best of Broadway." Camps are geared toward students aged 5 to 14. Each week of camp culminates in a final showcase for family and friends to demonstrate skills learned throughout the course of the session.

"We are so excited to partner for a third year with the Maryland State Boychoir," states Stephanie Lynn Williams, Artistic Director of Drama Learning Center. "Although we have had a home base in Columbia, Maryland for over 20 years, we feel that it is important to bring our mission of providing campers with an opportunity to have fun while learning and improving drama skills to the Baltimore area."

DLC Baltimore is pleased to name Ashlyn Thompson as Camp Director for the 2013 summer season. She is a Shenandoah Conservatory alumni with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a Working Theatre professional based in the Baltimore/DC Metropolitan area. MS. Thompson has worked with DLC since the summer of 2012 as a teaching artist in both Baltimore and Howard County. She has directed and assistant directed many productions through DLC including: Aladdin JR., 101 Dalmatians, Beauty & the Beast, Hairspray and Tarzan.

Parents can register students by phone (410.997.9352) or web (www.dramalearningcenter.com/baltimore_programs.html). Registration and information is not available at the MSB Center for the Arts. All tuition includes a fun theatrical experience, costume pieces for performances, rehearsal CDs, craft supplies, and a DLC Summer Camp T-shirt (if registered by June 1).
