Columbia Festival of the Arts, which now offers year round entertainment "Arts For Every Season," has added a second performance of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES as initial event dates sells out.

This award winning play, written by Eve Ensler, was originally scheduled to be presented only on Saturday, Nov 21, 2015 at 8:00pm by the Women of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center in partnership with Columbia Festival of the Arts. As the evening performance sold out, an afternoon Matinee performance was added the next day, Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00pm.

"People are attracted to this play because it says things other plays don't. It is personal, wise, daring, and funny..." says Festival Executive Director Todd Olson "and all because it rose from real interviews. That we have sold out one performance and are having to add a second is a testament to what this story has to say about women, their lives, their secrets, their confessions, and what gives them strength to carry on."

THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES is an Obie Award-winning whirlwind tour of a forbidden zone that introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who "liked to look at it."

Performances will be held at Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia. MD 21044 Tickets $10. For more information or to purchase tickets visit ColumbiaFestival.org or call 410-715-3044.
