Disney's My Son Pinocchio, Jr. is a new musical retelling of the well-known story of Pinocchio from the point of view of the toymaker Geppetto. This production, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by David Stern, features more than 30 student actors from Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, and Howard County.

Olivia Lockett of Baltimore County appears as Pinocchio, with William Hornby of Baltimore City as Geppetto, and Theo Halligan of Baltimore City as Stromboli. Other featured cast members are Ava Correlli of Middle River, Md. (Fairie in Training - Arancia), Matthew Byrd of Halethorpe, Md. (Professor Buongrazzo), Anderson Gray of Parkville, Md. (The Blue Fairy), Emma Hester (Fairie in Training - Viola) and Kevin Franiak (Ringleader), both of Nottingham, Md., Kate Lutz of Rosedale, Md. (Fairie in Training - Sue) and Maia Vong of Towson, Md. (Fairie in Training-Rosa).

Liz Boyer Hunnicutt directs this production, with musical direction by Julie Parrish and choreography by Amanda Dickson.

Disney's My Son Pinocchio, Jr., the classic tale of the wooden puppet who longs to be a real boy, takes on new life in this retelling as Geppetto's musical tale. Reprising some of the best-loved songs from the original Disney production, such as "When I Wish Upon a Star" and "I Got No Strings", the story focuses not only on Pinocchio's transformation from a puppet to a real boy, but also Geppetto's from the puppet's creator to a real father. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy!

Disney's My Son Pinocchio, Jr. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

Performances are held in the Administration Building Lecture Hall, by parking lot 4, at CCBC Essex, which is a wheelchair-accessible facility. Please request accommodations at the time of ticket purchase.
