Lisa Adam, star of "Jersey Boys" and "Rocky Horror", has teamed up with past Adelaide Cabaret Festival performer and star of "Hairspray" Trevor Ashley to present "Amy Housewine - Back to Crack". Lisa Adam IS Amy Housewine and she told us she was trouble.

Amy's been to hell and back and got the tats to prove it. They tried to make her go to rehab, but she wouldn't have a bar of it. Now, though, she swears she's finally cleaned up her act... but, to be frank, the jury's still out on that one. And so the car-crash of her life comes to Adelaide, where Amy Housewine makes her Adelaide Cabaret Festival debut in a show that dishes the dirt on her life as a singer, poet and professional crack-whore.

We put Lisa in the Cabaret hot-seat with 10 questions in 10 minutes:

1. What are you looking forward to most about coming to the Adelaide Cabaret Festival?
I've performed at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival once before, but this is the first time I'm doing my own show, so I'm really excited about that.
I also love the South Australian wine country!

2. What has been your biggest learning curve so far working as a professional performer?
Probably acquiring the discipline to perform in a long running musical. I have recently finished playing Mary Delgado in "Jersey Boys" for nearly 2 years, which has been my longest contract to date. I performed over 670 shows and it's an exciting challenge trying to keep your performance "fresh" each night.

3. What has it been like preparing the show, as well as performing in Jersey Boys?
I actually finished my contract with "Jersey Boys" in late March, so have been able to completely focus on my show "Amy Housewine - Back To Crack". It's so wonderful working on your own show, because the creative process is intoxicating, excuse the pun!

4. What can audiences expect from Back To Crack?
Well, the warning on my show reads: "This Adults Only show will feature drinking, smoking, swearing, drug use, and passing out in a pool of your own vomit."
I think that pretty much covers it...

5. What do you think "Cabaret" is and why is it different to any other performance art?
Cabaret is having a revival in Australia which is very exciting. I personally love the freedom of Cabaret. There's not really any "rules". That kind of freedom is just heaven to a performer.

6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Hopefully still doing what I love!

7. What would be your advice to young people wanting to break into the industry?
Never stop learning. Every show you do, watch the more experienced performers and learn from them. I learn something new each time I perform.

8. What has been your greatest achievement so far?
Being nominated for a Green Room and Helpmann Award last year for "Jersey Boys". It was the first time I'd been nominated for anything so I was very excited. My parents flew over from Perth for both ceremonies, which meant the world to me.

9. Who have been your greatest influences as a performer?
Oh, there's such a list! However, if I had to pick my greatest influence, it would be my Mum and Dad. When I was 3 years old I told them I wanted to be an actress, and since that moment their love and support has never wavered. They come to every one of my opening nights. And yes, they're coming to Adelaide!

10. Who are your top 5 picks for the 2011 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
There's so many amazing shows, I can't pick only 5!
