Following the premiere of his play Television in Scriptworks' Out of Ink at Salvage Vanguard in June, playwright Zac Kline returns to Austin with The Night Before ... a play developed for his wife, actress Blair Baker. Baker and Kline are co-artistic directors of Missing Bolts Productions. The play is directed by Patrick Day.

The Night Before was developed specifically for the Short Fringe at Fronterafest 2014. Baker and Kline were inspired to create this show by their recent trip to Austin.

Baker has worked extensively in New York and regionally. She was the understudy for Carol (played by Julia Stiles) in the Mark Taper Forum/Center Theatre Group and Broadway revival of David Mamet's Oleanna and later starred in the role at Bristol Riverside Theatre. Other credits include Bus Stop at Kansas City Rep and work with The Flea Theater in New York. Kline's work includes What are we going to do about little brother? which is part of 24 Gun Control Plays. His plays have been developed and produced in New York and across the country. Patrick Day has acted and directed extensively for film, television and theatre. His play Cynics which he directed, co-wrote and starred in was an L.A. Weekly Pick-of-the- Week and was recommended by the Los Angeles Times. He is the director of The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles.

The Night Before ... is a monologue that delves deep into the mind of Janet, a young literature professor who's sister disappeared ten years ago. Armed with her thoughts and her sister's vinyl records she tries to piece together the mysteries of the past in order to understand her future.

Missing Bolts is an independent Production Company devoted to the development and presentation of new works for theatre and film. Missing Bolts Productions presents big stories in little moments - plays and films that are heartbreakingly human, that reject artifice and show humanity at its smallest and fullest.
