"Grey Gardens" is the hilarious and heartbreaking story of Big Edie and Little Edie Bouvier Beale, the eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, once bright names on the social register who became East Hampton's most notorious recluses. It is based on the 1975 documentary of the same title and set at Grey Gardens, the Bouviers' mansion in East Hampton, New York. The musical tracks the progression of the two women's lives from their original status as rich and socially polished aristocrats to their eventually largely isolated existence in a home overrun by cats and cited for repeated health code violations. "Grey Gardens" seeks to untangle the complicated dynamics of their dysfunctional mother/daughter relationship.

Megan Van De Hey returns in her Henry Award-winning role as "Little" Edie Beale and Deborah Persoff reprises her Henry Award-nominated role as Edith Bouvier Beale, the eccentric mother and daughter. The cast also includes Rebecca Myers (Edie Beale), Hannah Katz (Jacqueline "Jackie" Bouvier), Christian Munck (Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Jr./Jerry), Katie Phipps (Lee Bouvier), Dan Wright (Major Bouvier), Eric Weinstein (George Gould Strong) and Tim Campbell (Brooks).

The book is by Doug Wright, music is by Scott Frankel, and the lyrics are by Michael Korie. Direction is by Sheri Wright.
