Deadline reports that Patricia Clarkson has joined the cast of Bill Oliver's upcoming indie film JONATHAN. The Broadway veteran joins previously announced cast member Ansel Elgort.

According to the site, Elgort will portray "both Jonathan and his twin brother John, who live by a strict set of rules including no lies and no romantic relationships. When Jonathan finds out John has fallen in love with Elena, his ordered life is thrown into chaos. He seeks the help of his doctor and mentor, Dr. Nariman (Clarkson), while also taking matters into his own hands."

Oliver co-wrote the script with Peter Nickowitz. Production on the project is set to get underway later this month.

Clarkson's recent films include Learning to Drive and The Maze Runner franchise. She will next be seen on the big screen in Sally Potter's The Party and Isabel Coicet's The Bookshop. In 2015, she received a Tony nomination for THE ELEPHANT MAN, starring opposite Bradley Cooper.
