Master magician Teller co-directs the new Las Vegas A.R.T. production of William Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST along with Aaron Posner and tickets are now available.

Additionally, A jaunty and far-out new trailer for the forthcoming American Repertory Theater production of William Shakespeare's timeless latter play THE TEMPEST is now available, as well.

Featuring a collage-like approach, the syncopated new visual montage combines many elements commonly associated with the classic comedy while also imbuing it with an altogether new life and spirit, set to the sounds of a score featuring songs by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan.

The official description of THE TEMPEST is as follows: "Experience Prospero's wizardry as never before in this startling production, featuring magic created by Teller (of the legendary duo Penn & Teller). When shipwrecked aristocrats wash up on the shores of Prospero's strange island, they find themselves immersed in a world of trickery and amazement, where Tom Waits' Dust Bowl balladry and Teller's magic animate the spirits and monsters. The Tempest is a co-production with The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Nevada."

More information on the new A.R.T. production of THE TEMPEST is as follows: "The Smith Center for the Performing Arts presents the world premiere of THE TEMPEST, produced by the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at The Smith Center in Las Vegas April 5-13, 2014. The Smith Center's first ever co-production, THE TEMPEST is adapted and directed by Aaron Posner and Teller from the play by William Shakespeare, with magic by Teller, music by Tom Waits and movement by Matt Kent of Pilobolus. THE TEMPEST will perform at The Smith Center's Donald W. Reynolds Symphony Park in a 500-seat climate controlled tent before moving to Cambridge, MA to begin performances at A.R.T."

Even more information on A.R.T.'s production of THE TEMPEST is available at the official site here.

THE TEMPEST runs on the East Coast May 10 through June 16. Tickets are available at the official site here.
