Off-Broadway's Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story will present a talkback session entitled "Thinking Outside the Jukebox—Writing the Non-Formula Musical Today" with three composer/librettist/lyricists: Thrill Me's Stephen Dolginoff, David Spencer (Weird Romance, The Fabulist, etc. and author of the just-published "Musical Theatre Writer's Survival Guide"), Doug Cohen (No Way To Treat a Lady, The Gig, The Opposite of Sex), and other special guests, on Saturday, July 16th following the 5 PM performance at the York Theatre Company.

Thrill Me, which recently extended its run for a third time, is playing at
the York Theatre (at Saint Peter's Citigroup Center, 619 Lexington Avenue at 54th Street) with no closing date set. Directed by Michael Rupert (Sweet Charity, Falsettos) and based on the infamous 1924 Leopold and Loeb murder case, the show originally opened on May 26th for a limited run. Lyricist/composer Dolginoff, who began his career as a musical theater actor, has taken over the role of Nathan Leopold for the extension period, while Doug Kreeger portrays his partner in crime, Richard Loeb.

Set in 1924 Chicago, the show recounts the tale of the legendary duo who committed one of the most infamous heinous crimes of the 20th Century. It chronicles the events that led childhood friends Leopold and Loeb to forever be remembered as "the thrill killers."

Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story will run on the following schedule from July 18th: Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 8:00 pm, with Saturday evening performances at 5:00 PM

Tickets are $55. Student tickets are available on the day of the performance for $20, subject to availability. Tickets, for which the discount code "THRILL" will slice off $20, are available at Smarttix.com, (212) 868-4444, or in person at the box office on the lower level at Saint Peter's.
