The Drama Book Shop will welcome The Dionysian Collective for their third launch party. The Dionysian Collective, a group of actors and writers based in New York City, have created a quarterly literary journal, titled The Dionysian.

The publication focuses on giving exposure to up and coming, as well as established playwrights. Each issue contains short plays submitted by playwrights across the globe, interviews with established playwrights and theatre makers, as well as pieces from a variety of visual artists that have been inspired by the plays in each issue.

The Drama Book Shop hosts a launch event with The Dionysian Collective to launch ISSUE 003, on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 6pm.

Co-founder Alexander Hodge says that "the evening will consist of readings from ISSUE 003, as well as an opportunity to purchase your own copy and meet the artists involved in the issue. Everyone is welcome to join The Dionysian family and help us 'Celebrate The Playwright' with wine, theatre and all things Dionysian.

The Dionysian ISSUE 003 upholds the collective's mission to "highlight emerging and established playwrights of all genres and backgrounds," by including 17 short plays by playwrights worldwide, as well as interviews with Dael Orlandersmith and Lyle Kessler.
