The Cleaning Guy will have its World Premiere at the 20th Annual New York International Fringe Festival in August. The solo show is written and performed by Paul Adams who has been developing the script over the last three years at Emerging Artists New Work Series. The comedy is based on his life as an apartment cleaner in New York City, since 1991. In addition to being the "cleaning guy," Paul has also been the Artistic Director for Emerging Artists Theatre since its inception in 1993.

Melissa Attebery whose previous FringeNYC directing credits include One, Two, Whatever you do..., Live Broadcast and this year's production of My White Wife, Or So I Married A Black Man, directs. Musician and playwright Matt Casarino provides Music Composition & Arrangements.

Emerging Artists presents a hilarious journey of one man's dealings with the dirty secrets of apartment dwellers in New York City. Meet the colorful inhabitants that span Paul's 25 year cleaning journey including Gerard, an elderly leather queen with an outdated vacuum and Rita, a proper English slobbess with a permanent case of the dropsies. A wild ride with original musical numbers that give you a voyeuristic view of what lies behind their doors.

Tickets are $18.00 and go on sale July 15th at www.fringenyc.org - venue & dates to be announced in early July. More info is available at www.thecleaningguy.nyc
