Emily Skinner of Side Show fame will show another side of her talent when she makes her New York directorial debut leading this season's largest cast-to-date in the critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year series at The Town Hall. The Tony nominated star will direct The Broadway Musicals of 1955, which will include songs from such famous shows as Damn Yankees, Silk Stockings, Plain & Fancy, Ankles Aweigh, and more.

Skinner will be directing a cast that includes Dee Hoty, Patti Cohenour, Liz Larsen, Sal Viviano, Justin Bohon, Raymond Jaramillo McLeod, Connie Pachl, Shannon Lewis, and more! Scott Siegel, the creator, writer, and host of Broadway by the Year -- and it's producer -- announced Skinner as the director of the next concert that will take place on Monday, May 2nd, saying, "Emily is a veteran of the series. She has been in three of them and understands what these shows are all about. Creative and delightful to work with, I'm sure she'll bring something special to the Town Hall stage."

Broadway by the Year, now in its fifth season, has been attracting top talent from its very inception. The next show continues to bring luster to the songs born on Broadway with a cast that includes three-time Tony nominated star Dee Hoty, Tony nominee Liz Larsen, Tony nominee Patti Cohenour, Drama Desk nominee Justin Bohon, etc.

The Broadway by the Year concerts have earned a valuable reputation for offering a rich variety of both famous and "ought-to-be famous" songs from any given year on the Great White Way. In addition, there is a rich mix of dance, amusing erudition, and thrilling unmiked performances. In other words, there is a good reason why more than 1,000 theater faithful subscribe to Broadway by the Year.

There are a limited number of $45 and $40 tickets left for the May 2nd concert. Box office: 212-840-2824 open Mon-Sat, noon to 6 PM or call TicketMaster at 212-307-4100. Town Hall is located at 123 W. 43rd St.
