Singer-songwriter, neo-ragtime vocalist Dessy Di Lauro is playing The Blue Note Jazz Fest tonight, June 5 at Midnight.

Creating a sound inspired by jazz pioneers, Duke Ellington and Cab Calloway, Dessy Di Lauro uses the musical language of the Harlem Renaissance era fused with today's urban beats, contemporary sounds and catchy R&B hooks. Music Connection Magazine deemed her one of 2014's "Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists."

LA Weekly praises Di Lauro's, "Honeyed vocals" and acclaims her original songs as "Smart, sassy and sensual, layered with funky horn retorts and jazzy harmonies." She has also been featured on world-renowned Essence Magazine.
