Shawn Mendes, Tori Kelly & More to Perform at 2015 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

Recording artists Shawn Mendes, Sheppard and Tori Kelly are set to perform at the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, SATURDAY, APRIL 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. Also taking the RDMA stage are previously announced performers Nick Jonas, Becky G, R5, Sabrina Carpenter, Natalie La Rose and Fifth Harmony, and the show's superstar host, Zendaya (Disney Channel's "K.C. Undercover"). Presenters include Kelly Osbourne, Carly Rae Jepsen, Laura Marano, Chelsea Kane, Sweet Suspense, Kelsea Ballerini, the casts of ABC's "black-ish" and Disney Channel's "Teen Beach 2."

In addition to the performances, Radio Disney will honor Jennifer Lopez with the Hero Award in recognition of her philanthropic work in the U.S. and around the globe.

Shawn Mendes, whose Island Records debut album "Handwritten" was released last week, was a Radio Disney's "N.B.T." Featured Artist prior to the release of his debut EP "The Shawn Mendes EP" last July. His most recent singles, "Life of the Party" and "Something Big," were top 10 songs on the Radio Disney charts.

Republic Records' indie-pop band Sheppard's international smash "Geronimo" debuted on the Radio Disney Top 30 in its first week. Their album "Bombs Away" was just released in the U.S. following an incredible sold out run on the "That Bass" tour with Meghan Trainor.

Capitol Records singer-songwriter Tori Kelly's single "Nobody Love" from her forthcoming debut album "Unbreakable Love" debuted in February and entered the Radio Disney Top 30 in just one week. The single, which has over two million views on YouTube, has been rapidly climbing the charts ever since and is currently in the op 15.

The 2015 RDMA show will feature performances by some of the biggest artists in music, as well as the presentation of the uniquely Radio Disney "ARDY" statuette to award winners, as voted on by fans globally. Walt Disney Records will release a compilation album of 15 tracks featuring nominees and nominated songs Tuesday, April 21.

A 90 minute televised special "Disney Channel Presents the Radio Disney Music Awards" and 30 minute pre-show including red-carpet arrivals, will be presented SUNDAY, APRIL 26 (7:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Highlights will also be available on Radio Disney, the Radio Disney App, THE WATCH Disney Channel app and RadioDisney.com.
