Script Match Launches Nationwide Call for Entries

Script Match, a new online marketplace connecting playwrights, directors and actors, announced today that it is inviting playwrights from across the country to submit catalog entries for its cutting-edge online scripts database. Submissions are free of charge and there is no limit on the number of entries a playwright can submit.

Script Match is designed to provide actors and directors quick, efficient access to musical theatre and play scripts as well as other audition materials. Its proprietary algorithm allows users to conduct the most advanced search of any other online catalog of plays and musicals. For example, an actor can say, "Find me a musical with a character that is in his 30s, baritone vocal range, Hispanic, who is funny and nerdy, and it must be family friendly." Script Match will suggest other plays the director may like.

Script Match's online marketplace connects playwrights directly with actors and directors. For published plays, Script Match links users directly to the publisher's website, driving traffic and sales of the script. For unpublished plays, users will be able to contact the playwright directly. Scripts are not uploaded to the site, only detailed information and links to where the play can be purchased or found.
