Today, July 21, Broadway legend Carol Channing appeared on 'The View' to discuss art in school. Don't miss her musical performance at the end of the video! BroadwayWorld brings you this special appearance below.

Carol Channing made her Broadway debut in 1941's LET'S FACE IT as Eve Arden's understudy. Channing starred as Lorelei Lee in the original production of GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES. She was nominated for her first Tony Award for THE VAMP in 1955. In 1964 Channing originated the role of Dolly Levi in the beloved musical HELLO, DOLLY! and won the Tony award for her performance, continuing to play the role in various productions throughout her life including two Broadway revivals in 1979 and 1995. Channing reprised her role as Lorelei Lee in the new musical LORELEI in 1974 for which she was nominated for a Tony award.

Channing won a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award in 1995 and a Special Tony Award in 1968.
