The cast of the hit Broadway musical AMERICAN IDIOT performed "21 Guns" live this morning, June 10th, in the 8am (EST) hour, on CBS's "The Early Show," which airs weekdays from 7-9am. The appearance featured Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr., Tony Award Nominee Stark Sands, Michael Esper, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Christina Sajous, and Mary Faber as well as Declan Bennett, Andrew Call, Gerard Canonico, Miguel Cervantes, Brian CharLes Johnson, Leslie McDonel, Chase Peacock, Theo Stockman, Ben Thompson, Alysha Umphress, Sean Wing and Libby Winters.

The performance, which was open to the public, was recorded live on the Early Show Plaza at 59th Street and 5th Avenue.

Nominated for three 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, AMERICAN IDIOT began preview performances at the ST. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, on March 24, 2010 and opened officially on April 20, 2010. The cast and Green Day will perform live on THE TONY AWARDS on Sunday, June 13, 2010 on CBS.
